# Assigning Borradh access

> Give Borradh permission to manage your Facebook Page, Instagram account, ad account and WhatsApp number — without sharing a password.

Borradh posts content, runs your ads and answers messages from **your own**
Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp accounts. To do that, you add Borradh as a
partner on your Meta business portfolio and choose which assets we can work on.

This is the standard way agencies are given access. It matters that it is done
this way rather than by sharing a login:

## Before you start

<Check>You are an **admin** of your business portfolio in Meta Business Manager.</Check>
<Check>Your Instagram account is a **professional** account and is linked to your Facebook Page.</Check>
<Check>You know which ad account you want Borradh to run campaigns from.</Check>

<Note>
  **No business portfolio yet?** Create one free at
  [business.facebook.com](https://business.facebook.com) first, then add your
  Page and ad account to it. A Page that sits on a personal profile alone cannot
  be shared with a partner.

## Borradh's partner ID

You will be asked for the partner's business ID. It is:

<Warning>
  Check this number carefully before you continue. Meta grants access to
  whichever business the ID belongs to, and it does not ask you to confirm the
  name afterwards.

## Give Borradh access

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your business settings">
    Go to [business.facebook.com/settings](https://business.facebook.com/settings).
    If you manage more than one business, use the switcher at the top to select
    the right one before you continue.

  <Step title="Go to Partners">
    In the left sidebar, open **Users → Partners**, then select **Add**.

    Choose the option to **give a partner access to your assets** — not the one
    that asks a partner for access to theirs. The wording differs slightly
    between accounts, but the direction is what matters: you are granting, not
    requesting.

    Paste `1937937236764772` and continue. Borradh appears in your partner list
    straight away, with no assets assigned yet.

    Select each asset you want Borradh to manage and set the permission next to
    it. See the table below for what to grant and why.

    Assign every asset in one pass if you can. Assets added later need the same
    steps again, and a missing one is the most common reason a channel does not
    appear in your dashboard.

    Message the person who onboarded you, or email
    [support@borradh.io](mailto:support@borradh.io). We finish the connection on
    our side and confirm when your channels are live — usually the same working
    day.

## What to assign

| Asset                 | Permission        | What it lets Borradh do                                                                               |

| **Facebook Page**     | Full control      | Publish posts, reply to Messenger conversations and comments, and collect leads from your lead forms. |
| **Instagram account** | Full control      | Publish posts and reels, and reply to DMs and comments.                                               |
| **Ad account**        | Manage ad account | Create, edit, pause and report on campaigns.                                                          |
| **WhatsApp account**  | Full control      | Send and receive WhatsApp messages on your business number.                                           |

<Note>
  Only assign the channels you have actually signed up for. If you are not using
  WhatsApp or not running ads, skip those rows — you can add them later without
  redoing anything.

<Accordion title="Can I grant something narrower than full control?">
  Yes, if your business requires it. Full control is the simplest option that
  works for every feature, but the underlying tasks Borradh needs are:

  * **Page** — Content, Messages, Community activity, Ads, Insights
  * **Instagram** — Content, Messages, Community activity
  * **Ad account** — Manage campaigns

  Partial access is easy to get subtly wrong, and a missing task usually shows
  up later as one broken feature rather than an error at setup time. If you go
  this route, tell us which tasks you granted so we can check them before you
  rely on it.

## What happens next

Once you have assigned your assets, there is nothing further for you to do.
Borradh links the accounts on our side and your channels appear in the
dashboard. You do not need to reconnect them later — this access does not
expire on its own.

## Removing access

Go back to **Users → Partners**, select Borradh, and remove the assets you no
longer want us to manage — or remove Borradh entirely.

Access stops immediately. Your Page, posts, ad history and audiences are
unaffected: they were always yours, and nothing is deleted when a partner is
removed.

## If something goes wrong

    You are most likely in Meta Business Suite rather than business settings.
    Go directly to
    [business.facebook.com/settings](https://business.facebook.com/settings).
    If **Partners** still isn't there, you are not an admin of the business
    portfolio — ask whoever set it up to either make you an admin or complete
    these steps themselves.

  <Accordion title="My Page isn't listed when I try to assign it">
    The Page belongs to a personal profile rather than to your business
    portfolio. Add it first under **Accounts → Pages → Add**, then assign it to
    Borradh.

  <Accordion title="My Instagram account isn't listed">
    Instagram is shared through the Facebook Page it is linked to. Confirm the
    account is a professional (business or creator) account and is connected to
    your Page, then assign the Page again.

  <Accordion title="I assigned everything but a channel is still missing">
    Tell us which asset and we will check it. The usual cause is an asset
    assigned to the business but not shared with the partner — the two are
    separate steps in Meta's interface, and the first one alone looks complete.
